Our network expanded, reflecting the increasing need for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and actionable climate solutions. In 2024, The Climate Network (TCN) continued to grow and solidify its role as a central platform for climate professionals. Our network expanded, reflecting the increasing need for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and actionable climate solutions.
This report highlights the TCN’s impact across our strategic pillars:
- Community: We closed 2024 with 1,750 active members, drawn from over 3,000 applications with a 60% acceptance rate. The network maintains gender balance (51% women) and a high level of expertise, with 50% of members in senior leadership roles.
- Connect: We hosted 20 events across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and South Africa, bringing together over 1,520 climate professionals.
- Collaborate: We facilitated nearly 300 cross-network introductions and launched the TCN Members Platform to support and deepen member interaction and engagement.
- Contribute: We supported national climate policy development, co-launched CAMAK, and celebrated climate leadership through the inaugural TCN Climate Awards.
